Michael Alpert, Esq. was quoted in an article posted on Long Island Business News regarding the foreclosure lawsuit filed against Gary Melius, who is currently the owner of Oheka Castle.
Last week, the Law Offices of Michael Alpert filed a countersuit for Gary Melius in defense of a foreclosure lawsuit, in Suffolk County Supreme Court.
The client is suing to dismiss the foreclosure of the property and seeks damages of at least $10M from Oheka Castle’s loan servicing firm. Melius claimed he had to take out money from his own pocket to continue the castle’s operations since the property lender refused to disburse funds from a cash management account. The account was set up to support the castle’s operations and maintenance expenses.
