It should be noted that every ticket that is processed through the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency (NCTPVA) located at 16 Cooper Street, Hempstead will incur a $45 administrative fee. The only time where this fee will be waived will be if one is found “not guilty” after trial. All other tickets will be subject to this mandatory fee.
This is the case whether tickets are dismissed in satisfaction of a plea to other charges, whether tickets are dismissed based on production (i.e. proof of valid insurance, registration, or insurance) or where an equipment violation is repaired and proof of such is submitted to the Court.
If the motorist is also convicted of a moving violation, in most cases the underlying fine will also carry a mandatory state surcharge of $88 on top of the aforementioned $45 administrative fee.
